Toyota Platz is the predecessor of the well know Toyota Belta. It was a subcompact or supermini car manufactured in Japan from the years of 1999 to 2005. It was known by the names of "Echo" and "Yaris" in other markets.
It is a four-door compact sedan which is very cheap and fuel efficient. It has an inline straight 4 cylinder with the choice of 1litre, 1.3litre and 1.5litre engines. Its body styling is rather ordinary as it is not made for that purpose but is made for a useful and durable car which is cheap. The same story is carried on into the interior which can facilitate 4 to 5 people. The materials used are cheap plastics and the air conditioning is just fine.
This front engined front wheel drive car was produced only from 1999 to 2002 after which the belt a took its seat.
